Spencer County Events

A traditional “sage blessing,” offering a cleansing to the buffalo, will be performed by a trio of Native American women during the “Blessing of the Buffalo” on September 8, 2011, at Buffalo Run Farm, Grill & Gifts. The blessing ceremony will take place at 10:00 am CDT with the opportunity to feed the buffalo to follow. Native Americans will conduct demonstrations from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm CDT, including tomahawk throwing, flint knapping, and others.
